CiaoTransfer General Conditions of Private Transfer Services

These General Conditions govern the provision of private transfer services offered by CiaoTransfer. By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Provisions:

  • Hourly Dispositions: For chauffeur-driven rental services, excluding direct transfers, a minimum of 2 hours of hourly disposition applies.
  • Direct Extra-Urban Transfers: For non-stop transfers between cities, the rate is calculated based on the distance (cost per kilometer).
  • Airport/Port Transfers: Airport (Fiumicino/Ciampino) and port (Civitavecchia) transfers have dedicated rates. Please request a quote through our website booking form or by contacting us directly.
  • Airport Waiting Time: Airport pickup services include 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time from the actual flight landing time to accommodate baggage claim and customs. For port pickups, 15 minutes of free waiting time is granted. For all other locations, 15 minutes of free waiting time is granted.
  • Service Partners: CiaoTransfer may collaborate with other reputable transportation companies that meet our standards of quality and efficiency to fulfill service requests as needed.

2. Luggage and Personal Belongings:

  • Each passenger is permitted to carry up to TWO standard suitcases. Any excess baggage, including specialized equipment (e.g., skis, golf clubs), must be declared at the time of booking to ensure vehicle suitability.
  • CiaoTransfer drivers reserve the right to refuse to load undeclared bulky items, excess baggage, or items that pose a safety risk or are in unsuitable condition (e.g., broken, dirty, wet suitcases).
  • Passengers are responsible for verifying their luggage upon departure. CiaoTransfer is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings. All items are transported at the passenger’s risk.
  • Property carried by the passenger, travels under the complete responsibility of the passenger who declares ownership when entering the vehicle.

3. Liability and Delays:

  • CiaoTransfer will make every reasonable effort to ensure timely arrivals and departures. However, we are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., traffic congestion, road closures, weather conditions).
  • Our vehicles are fully insured in compliance with Italian and EU regulations, covering both the vehicle and passengers.
  • In the event that CiaoTransfer is unable to complete a booked and paid transfer due to reasons within our control or that of our service partners, we will arrange alternative transportation (e.g., taxi, alternative private transfer) and reimburse the customer for the cost, upon presentation of a receipt/invoice. The reimbursement will not exceed the agreed-upon rate for the original transfer.
  • CiaoTransfer’s liability for costs and losses due to delays or errors directly attributable to our negligence is limited to €150.00 per booking.

4. Customer Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Information: Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information at the time of booking, including pickup and drop-off locations, flight or cruise details, and contact information. Any inaccuracies may result in delays or service disruptions.
  • Punctuality: Customers are expected to be ready for pickup at the scheduled time and location. Delays caused by the customer may result in additional waiting time charges or service cancellation.
  • Respectful Conduct: Customers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards the driver and in the vehicle. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in the termination of the service.
  • Adherence to Vehicle Rules: Customers must adhere to all vehicle rules and regulations, including seatbelt usage and no smoking or consumption of alcohol inside the vehicle, unless otherwise permitted.
  • Notification of Changes: Customers must promptly notify CiaoTransfer of any changes to their booking, including flight delays, changes in pickup or drop-off locations, or additional luggage.
  • Payment Obligations: Customers are responsible for ensuring timely payment for the services rendered, in accordance with the agreed-upon rates and payment terms.
  • Responsibility for Minors: Customers traveling with minors are responsible for their supervision and safety.
  • Responsibility for personal belongings: Customers are responsible for their own personal belongings.
  • Reporting Problems: Customers are obligated to report as soon as possible, any problems related to the service.

5. Amendments and Disputes:

  • CiaoTransfer reserves the right to modify these General Conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • Customers are required to report any issues or inefficiencies directly attributable to our services as soon as possible. We will endeavor to resolve any problems to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • These conditions and all related services are governed by Italian law. Any disputes arising from these conditions or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome, Italy.
